Situation:
The apartment is 10 minutes’ walk from the Nagyvárad tér metro stop. From there, the bustling nightlife scene of downtown Budapest is just a jump away.
Tram 24 takes you to the Keleti railway station or the banks of the Danube.
Sights:
One of the greatest public parks of Budapest, the Orczy Park, is in the close vicinity of the building.
Feel like submerging in culture? No problem. The National Theatre and the Palace of Arts are both on the river banks. Taking either a tram or a bus, you can easily approach Andrássy avenue, the Heroes’ Square as well as the City Park (Városliget) where, with the Museum of Fine arts and the Vajdahunyad Castle offering both seasonal and permanent exhibitions, the cultural scene steps up a notch.
From there you can take the yellow Millennium Underground, the first of its kind in Budapest, and getting off at Arany János street you can be amused by the St. Stephen’s Basilica.
Hanging out:
Popular with locals and close to the apartment, a leisure park called Kopaszi gát is situated on the opposite side of the Danube, right at the Rákóczy Bridge, where restaurants, outdoor gardens, clubs await folks.
Situated in the City Park (Városliget), the Amusement Park (Vidámpark) and the City Zoo lend themselves for family relaxation, to be topped off with a nice evening meal at the famous Gundel restaurant.
Those who are in for the treats of the night can easily reach the bustling nightlife scene of the city. In the vicinity of the Basilica, with the likes of DiVino wine bar and the resto bar club Ötkert, fun is just out there.
